You can always describe color by saying, "It's almost the same color as this (indicating an object) but a tad darker."
It's harder to describe scent ... "It's sort of like a rose geranium but sweeter"..."What do you mean?" "What's a rose geranium smell like?"
One day, possibly technology will offer us the ability to create a sense of aroma in it's absolute state.

Bergamot - The bergamot fruit is not edible because the pulp is far too sour. As a result, the bergamot tree is primarily cultivated for its valuable essential oil. Bergamot oil is cold peel. It has a sweet & fruity scent. Bergamot oil is documented in old herbal texts. Some traditional uses: balancing nervous system, relieving anxiety and stress, lifting melancholy for a restful sleep. Emotional profile: to relieve helplessness, hopelessness, emptiness and grief.
