Moisturizing Night Cream

Includes a host of actives like Grape Extract, Cucumber, Wild Mushroom and Japanese Green Tea, one of the key ingredients in our Seaplex Moisturizing Complex contains naturally-derived film forming polysaccharides, derived from tamarind seeds. The paste extracted from the fruits of the sub-tropical leguminous tree (Tamarindus indica) has been widely used in herbal medicine and as a foodstuff for centuries. Recognized for stimulation of skin repair, it also assists in environmental skin protection and for premature ageing of the skin. The moisturizing ability of the tamarind has shown to be equal to Hyaluronic Acid in effectiveness...and is plant based.

The following test results were based on 5 females ages 29-44. The test cream with the tamarind actives was applied 2 times a day along with a placebo on the other half of the face of these subjects.

Skin Elasticity-28% improvement in 14 days
Skin Hydration-10% improvement after 7 days +12% after 14 days
Skin Roughness-11% improvement after 7 days

Lifting Day Cream

A study in France used profilometry (image analysis of skin) to measure one of the primary ingredients in our Seaplex Line Complex. Unlike Retinol or Vitamin C, which can induce irritations and skin hyper reactivity, lipopeptides help stimulate the cellular matrix that leads to the synthesis of collagen I and IV, fibronectine and glycosaminoglycans leading to wrinkle reduction and wound healing.

In this study they recorded and observed the density, depth and volume of wrinkles around the eyes which involved treating the area and monitoring the changes over time. In the first split-face, double-blind trial, 49 women applied the lipopeptide cream or a placebo twice daily.
In the active controlled study, 16 women compared the effects of cosmetic creams containing the lipopeptide active or retinol 700 ppm on photoaged skin. This trial also used a split-face, double-blind design and included profilometry, echography, and clinical assessments after two and four months of treatment.

In both trials, the study findings were statistically significant, saying treatment with lipopeptides saw

50% decrease in wrinkle depth
68% decrease in wrinkle density
24% decrease in wrinkle volume.
Lipopeptides were also associated with increases in elastin fiber density and thickness and improved regularity of collagen IV, both critical for smooth, supple skin.

Guarana:  Guaraná is a creeping shrub native to the Amazon (and particularly the regions of Manaus and Parintins). In the lushness of the Brazilian Amazon where it originates, it often grows to 40ft high. Outside of its popularity in a drink, Guaraná¹s therapeutic activity and use as a stimulant comes from xanthine alkaloids (caffeine, theophylline, theobromine) where caffeine alone has been shown to facilitate fat loss and reduce fatigue. Guaraná has been used in body care products for its tonifying and astringent properties, and in the treatment of cellulite for its lipolytic and vasodilation** actions. The use of this in the Seaplex blend is intended to reduce puffiness around the eyes and excess fat under the chin and neck areas.
